Day 1: AMERICA - ATHENS
Departure from the city of origin in flight to Europe.
Day 2: ATHENS
Arrival in Athens and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free to take a first contact, with this city, cradle of Western culture. Accommodation.
Day 3: ATHENS - CRUISE TO HYDRA, POROS AND EGINA - ATHENS
Breakfast. Cruise to the Greek islands of Aegina, where you will have free time or make an optional excursion to the Temple of Afea. Continue on the boat to Poros, volcanic island that has a beautiful little port full of cafes and shops and finally the island of Hydra, one of the most beautiful in the Aegean. During the tour on the boat, multilingual explanations are offered (the excursion includes lunch on board). Return to Athens Accommodation. * The order of the route may change according to the marine conditions, but the three islands will always be visited.
Day 4: ATHENS
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of the city. The tour will take us to the Constitution Plaza , the Parliament, the National Library, the University and the Academy. When passing by Herodou Atticus street we can see the former Royal Palace, guarded by the picturesque Evzones. Following our itinerary in the direction of the Acropolis, you can see the famous Olympic Stadium, the Arch of Hadrian and many other archaeological remains. At the Acropolis we start the tour through the "Propylaea" gate and visit the Temple of Athena Nike, the Greek Temple of Erection, with its famous portico of the Caryatids and the Parthenon, a Doric temple of white marble. Afternoon free, you can freely visit the new Acropolis Museum or stroll through the lively neighborhood of Plaka, where we can find in its narrow and colorful streets, taverns and restaurants. Day 5: ATHENS - CORINTH CHANNEL - EPIDAURO - MICENAS - OLYMPIA
Breakfast. Our visit begins at Corinth Channel, It is 6.3km long and connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Aegean Sea, allowing maritime traffic and separating the Peloponnese from the rest of Greece. Brief stop and continuation of the trip to Epidaurus: visit of the famous Theater of Epidaurus, unique work of the C.IV, where we can appreciate its magnificent acoustics. Continue to Mycenae, one of the most famous Acropolis of the prehistoric civilization, where we can visit the walls, the door of the Lions, the Royal Tombs and the Tomb of Agamemnon and continue to the mythical Olympia, through the central Peloponnese. Day 6: OLYMPIA - DELFOS
Breakfast. Olympia, was the place where the first Olympic Games were held in antiquity. Visit of the Stadium, the Temple of Zeus and other Olympic facilities. Then we will visit the Museum, where you can see, among other things, the model of the Sanctuary of Zeus, the pediments of the Temple and the famous statue of Hermes of Praxiteles and then to Delphi passing through Patras and crossing the Strait of Rion, by the suspension bridge Jarilus Tricupis (the longest in the world) on the Ionian Sea. Day 7: DELFOS - KALAMBAKA
Breakfast. In Delphi, where the Sanctuary of Apollo, god of beauty and music, is located, we will visit the museum where we will see the Auriga of Delphi, in bronze and the Agias de Lisipo. Visit the archaeological sites of Delphi. Exit north to reach Kalambaka. In this city its 12th century cathedral stands out, where you can admire numerous paintings and frescoes from the 16th century of great quality. The gray color and the solitude of its strengths is the entrance to a place that from afar calls the most eager visitors to experience beauty through the mystery of a religion. Day 8: KALAMBAKA - MONASTERIES OF METEORA - ATHENS
